Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Directed By: James Cameron

It's vision was well ahead of it's time. It is one of the very few films that you can say that the sequel is as good as (and in this case, better) than the original. It is also one of the first mega-budget movies that captured audiences imaginations. At the time it was budgeted at an unheard of $110 million dollars, comparable to a Titanic like $200 million. It is perhaps Arnold Schwarzenneger's best film to date and his most famous role. It is Terminator 2: Judgment Day, the sequel to the moderately successful first film. It picks up where the first film left off, and pretty much retreads the same story with new twists (Arnold was the bad Terminator in the first one). It brought in a new wave of visual effects that still look fresh ten years later. It is one of the few movies that I have seen more than once in the theater (for this one five times) and is truly one of my favorite movies. It is action/sci-fi/drama/pretty much everything all packed into one experience of a movie. It is also quite possibly the best action film ever made. It's characters warm you over and you feel for them, made possible by a great ensemble cast including: Edward Furlong, Linda Hamilton, and Robert Patrick. It is one of the few films that will be remembered long after many other films like it have faded from memory.
