Ocean’s 11
Starring: George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, Don Cheadle, Andy Garcia
Directed By: Steven Soderbergh

There is just something about Steven Soderbergh’s ability to garner an all star cast and utilize them to their fullest. It’s no coincidence that most of the actors in this film have acted in one of his earlier efforts, including Clooney, Roberts and Cheadle. Clooney stars as Danny Ocean, who just released from jail decides it’s time to get the gang back together for one last heist. He plans to rob three casinos owned by Andy Garcia, who plays the heavy very well here. The ensemble cast is incredibly strong, and they all play off each other so well. Julia Roberts role is at a minimum (thankfully), personally I just don’t know what people find so good about her. She just comes off as very irritating in most of the roles she’s in. Clooney has all the charisma to lead this group of strong actors. Damon is terrific as the do I trust him or not character. The real standout in the cast though is Brad Pitt, who puts on another solid role, and is fast proving himself to being one of the best actors of his generation. Ocean’s 11 is a solid and very entertaining film that will keep your interest and on the edge of your seat. B+
